Lori Marie I am an artist, but more specifically, I am a photographer. I love to show others in their surrounding as I can see them. Over the past 8 years I began to create photographs, not just take them. My interests lie in seeing forms, figures and people, not always in a conventional way but by capturing the uniqueness and beauty as a moment in time. My photographs are works of art that create history. I look not for the "common photograph" but more for the unique, raw emotion of my subject to capture the defining moments in their life. About the Studio My studio was built in 2009 to give me a place to create photographs in a comfortable controlled environment. My studio offers an assortment of backdrops and props for all types of photos including large groups and also includes a man made outside space perfect for children or senior photos. My studio is also located across from Minneopa State Park for easy access for additional space for outdoor photographs which could include water backdrops, prairie grass, wild flowers, fall leaves, birch trees, waterfalls and much more. Information Maternity - Maternity photos are best done between 32 and 38 weeks of pregnancy. Your spouse, partner and/or children are welcome to be a part of some of the photos. What to wear is a personal choice and can be discusses when the session is booked. Newborns - Newborns photos are best taken between birth and two weeks of age if possible. During this time they are sleepier and flexible so it is much easier to be creative and achieve the desired photos. Nude or diaper/cloth covered photos are also included. If possible it is recommending to book this session before the baby arrives, sessions can always be rebooked to accommodate your needs. Children - Children session may be a little wild but are so much fun because nothing ever goes as planned! Dress your child with clothes that fit their personality (hats, dress up clothes, etc.) Fun, bright and trendy is great for children. If your child has a favorite toy, blanket or stuffed animal this could also be fun for photographs. Families – Photographing families and capturing those candid shots are great for family portraits. Plain coordinating colors, solids and basic styles work best when photographing a number of people. Engagement – Engagement photos can also be a great way to capture the personality of the couple with a variety of poses. Outdoor photos are always a great place to take engaged couple's pictures or my studio is great place for the timeless portrait. Wedding – Wedding photos capture your special day and are keepsakes for years to come featuring everything from the wedding rings, to the brides dress to the couple's raw emotions. I offer a variety of wedding packages to fit your wedding needs. Along with wedding photos I can also design invitations, thank you cards, photo albums, canvas wraps and more. Cancelations – if you need to cancel/reschedule your session please contact me to with a 24 hour notice if possible. Copyright - As an artist, it is important that my work be represented as I envisioned it. All rights to the images I capture are copyrighted by Lori Marie Photography. Please do not scan or try to recreate photographs I have taken. This will diminish the beauty of the photograph. Investment Single Session fee starts at $45 and includes my time, talent and a set of 12 proofs. Every image is enhanced and retouched before any client sees my work. The single session can be either – studio or outdoors. Indoor Session Every indoor session includes a variety of poses in color and/or black & white. Studio sessions are included in the above setting fee. Off-site indoor sessions within the Mankato/North Mankato city limits are included. There is a $25 set up charge for all indoor off-site locations. Travel outside of Mankato/North Mankato city limits is $0.54 per mile. Outdoor Session Every outdoor session includes a variety of poses and is recommended for late afternoon and early evening. Outdoor sessions are included in the above setting fee for the following locations: Sibley Park, Downtown Mankato, Minneopa State Park or within the Mankato/North Mankato city limits. Travel outside of Mankato/North Mankato city limits is $0.54 per mile. There is 7% Minnesota sales tax added to all invoices. Prices are subject to change without notice. Allow at least 3-4 weeks for final delivery of your order, however if unforeseen circumstances arise, you will be notified as to a projected date for your order.
